What is Chemical Industry?

Chemical industry is a very broad industry that includes combination of processes, organizations, operations in order to manufacture thousands of chemicals and their derivatives. It is one of the largest manufacturing industries that use a wide range of raw materials from air to oil in all developed and emerging countries. It is enough to look at report of ICCA (The International Council of Chemical Associations) in order to understand exact volume of chemial industry. According to the report, the chemical industry contributed USD 5,7 trillion to gross domestic product (GDP), an equivalent of 7% of the world’s GDP, and supported 120 million jobs. These numbers can easily show that how much importance of chemical industry. And it will seem to stay having important role on world’s economy.

Many chemical plants use some of their products as intermediates in their own production processes. There are generally bunches of processes which use the output of one as the input to another.

How to use roots blowers in chemical industry?

Chemical plants have a very significant role in our life in which we use products that are manufactured by chemical operations such as paints, fertilisers, detergents, pharmaceuticals, plastics, fibres, fuel for vehicles, insecticides and etc.

Positive displacement roots blowers are used for conveying and boosting of some gases which are occurred in refineries and chemical plants. These gases may be corrosive, inert even explosive. Although inert gases might be handled by screw compressors, contaminated gases and hydrocarbons such as coke oven and flare need roots blower pumps due to their oil-free operations.

Roots blowers are employed in many applications in chemical industry. They are used for both pressurized and vacuumized applications in which air or gas circulation is required.
